Gary LeDrew lived on Louisbourg Lighthouse as a child. He moved to and lived in Uxbridge, Ontario for many years.

He has an adventurous life, including sailing in the Caribbean and delivering racing yachts, and was a bosun on the square-rigged brig 'The Pilgrim.' Gary has worked in movies and the entertainment business and computers. He has painted most of his life and has had several Art Shows, many featuring historic scenes of Uxbridge.

In 2004 he moved back to Louisbourg, photographing and creating Art of his favourite places in the world; Louisbourg, Cape Breton Island and Uxbridge, Ontario.
