Tallow Nipple Balm is a 100% natural product made from pure ingredients like Tallow, Calendula, Marshmallow Root, Shea Butter, and Chamomile. This balm promotes healing for dry/cracked nipples. Non-Toxic , non-sticky, and don’t worry about wiping it off before feedings.. safe for babe and mama!

To Use: Apply a small amount to nipples after nursing or pumping. No need to remove before feeding. Store in a room temp or cool room. Tallow is an oil product and will melt if heated. If it liquifies no worries! Just pop it in the fridge and it will be good as new. (feel free to rub into lips or other dry spots on the body!)

What Is Tallow?
 

Tallow is derived from rendered animal fat. I know the thought of putting fat on your skin can seem odd but in reality, it's something our ancestors have used for centuries! It has a saturated fat ratio that is identical to our own skin cells, meaning it promotes healing to damaged skin. Genesis Tallow uses grass fed/finished beef suet that is packed with nutrients making it a whole skin miracle worker.

What Are The Benefits Of Using Tallow?
 

Tallow has incredible benefits to the whole body. Skin is your biggest organ and absorbs everything you put on it. Tallow is 100% non-toxic and all natural, meaning you won’t be loading your body with harmful chemicals but instead, giving it the vitamins and nourishment it craves!

Tallow is rich in fat soluble vitamins (D, A, E, and K) and minerals. It is so similar to the structure of the human skin cell, meaning it holds the main components our skin needs to repair and rebuild itself.

Those main components are conjugated linoleic acid (Omega-3) that has powerful anti-inflammatory properties, and palmitoleic acid (Omega-7) which is also the most active anti-microbial component in our sebum (skins natural oils), and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The combination of these two components are what helps make your skin look youthful and vibrant!

Whipped vs Solid
 

The main differnece is the texture and ease of applying. Whipped Tallow is light, and fluffy. This balm is eaier to apply to the face and delicate spots. It's also a bit easier to apply to little ones. With the solid balm, you'll have to scoop it out, heat it up in your hands and then apply. It's the same product, same ingredients and recipe.. just in differmet froms. The results will be the same and it will also feel the same once its rubbed in.  

Where do you get your Tallow From?
 

Our tallow is derived Beaver Meadow Farms, a holistic style farm local to Vancouver Island. We only use Certified Organic Grass Fed/Finished tallow from cows that are raised without hormones or antibiotics

Why Is The Consistency Of My Tallow Different From My Last Jar?

Tallow Balm is all natural with no toxins or nasties, meaning the scent, consistency, or colour can vary from batch to batch. We can assure you that we use the exact same ingredients and method each time. Because tallow is fat/oil based, it will get hard when it’s cold and will get smooth when warm. If it is hard, simply rub it between your hands to heat it up and then apply it to the desired area.

 Does Tallow Smell Like Beef?

 Don’t worry, people won’t be complimenting you on your new beef cologne. Tallow has a natural smell to it. We gently render and purify the tallow. We also add unique blends of essential oils to maximize Genesis Tallow balm's benefits, and create a pleasing aroma. 

 
What Is The Expected Shelf Life Of Tallow?
Tallow is best used within 12 months of opening. Keep it in a cool room and stay away from direct sunlight. 

Can I Use Tallow Balm On My Baby?

Absolutely! We highly recommend only using the Naked Balm (unscented) for baby because your wee little one might be sensitive to essential oils. Use it for:

Whole body moisturizer, Rashes/nappy rash, Dry patches, Cradle cap, Baby acne, Diaper cream, For sunburn's, Scratches

Is Tallow Balm Vegan?

No, tallow is not vegan. It is derived from animal fat. We buy from local farms that provide a safe environment for the animals, letting them roam and making sure they are grass fed/finished. Just like our ancestors, we believe it is more ethical to use the fat instead of wasting it. Genesis Tallow takes pride in helping create zero waste on the island by recycling animal fat (also one of the most vitamin rich parts of the animal!)
